Future live response contract
Every live response will include success state, source list, fetched timestamp, optional expiry, cache state, stale state, and methodology version. Failures will fall back to a clearly labeled manual mode instead of breaking the calculator.
Fallback policy
- No API call occurs on page load.
- The browser cache is checked before a future live request.
- Repeated in-flight requests are blocked.
- A stale value is displayed only with an explicit stale label.
- Unsupported networks never receive invented or random data.
